Staff recommends that the City Council receive the staff report and staff presentation, hold a public hearing, and adopt Resolution No. 2024-68, denying the appeal and upholding the Planning Commission's approval of Conditional Use Permit No. 2024-17.
Summary:
The applicant, Derek Finnegan, consultant with Lars Anderson & Associates representing property owner Jim Shehadey, filed Conditional Use Permit No. 2024-17, to establish an expanded service station with 14 fueling dispensers (containing 28 total positions) and a carwash facility. The uses will be located within the Commons at Visalia Parkway shopping center, at the southwest corner of West Visalia Parkway and South Mooney Boulevard. The carwash will be a standalone use, while the service station will be affiliated with a proposed big box retail membership club store, also to be located within the Commons at Visalia Parkway shopping center.
