Department Recommendation: It is recommended that the Visalia City Council reappoint Charles Mayer as the Visalia representative on the Tulare Mosquito Abatement District Board of Trustees.

The term of Visalia's representative on the Tulare Mosquito Abatement District Board of Trustees is set to expire on June 30, 2026, requiring City Council action to fill the appointment for the next two-year term. Background Discussion:
The Tulare Mosquito Abatement District is a political subdivision of the State of California that monitors, inspects, abates, and otherwise controls insects which carry transmittable diseases. This District is similar to Delta Vector Control District, which serves most of Visalia. The Tulare District encompasses a small portion of Southern Visalia, primarily between Demaree and Ben Maddox, south of Caldwell (map attached).
