Department Recommendation:
Staff recommends that the City Council authorize the City Manager to award an eight-month temporary emergency contract for landscape maintenance services for Landscape and Lighting Districts, Quadrant D, to Clean Cut Landscape, Inc., of Clovis, California, in an amount not to exceed $214,323.76.
Summary:
The current landscape maintenance contract for Quadrant D is scheduled to expire in October 2026. Quadrant D consists of 31 Landscape and Lighting Districts encompassing approximately 19.84 acres of maintained turf and planter areas. The service area is located south of Freeway 198 and Caldwell Avenue, between South Santa Fe Street and Lovers Lane.
The proposed eight-month temporary emergency contract will provide continued landscape maintenance services to support the ongoing care, appearance, and functionality of public landscaping throughout Quadrant D while staff prepares and issues a new Request for Bids for the area. The subsequent contract is anticipated to be for a one-year term, with four additional one-year renewal options.
