Staff recommends that the City Council conduct the second reading and adoption of Ordinance No. 2026-02 authorizing the City Manager to execute an airport lease agreement with the United States of America Department of Transportation Federal Aviation Administration in its current location at the Visalia Municipal Airport Business Terminal for antenna and equipment space for a term of ten (10) years at the lease rent rate of seven hundred and twenty dollars ($720.00) monthly for a period of ten (10) years starting May 1, 2026 and continuing through September 30, 2036.
Summary:
At its meeting on April 20, 2026, the City Council conducted a public hearing to consider a draft airport lease agreement with the United States of America Department of Transportation Federal Aviation Administration at its current location at the Visalia Municipal Airport Business Terminal for antenna and equipment space for a term of ten (10) years at the lease rent rate of seven hundred and twenty dollars ($720.00) monthly for a period of ten (10) years starting May 1, 2026 and continuing through September 30, 2036.
No persons spoke in opposition at the Council meeting and Council voted (4-0) to conduct the First Reading of Ordinance No. 2026-02 for the airport lease agreement.
