Department Recommendation: Mayor Brian Poochigian is recommending that the noted Council Members exchange their current Council representation assignments to better fit with interests and schedules. The Mayor is recommending that the Council nominate Council Member Soto to serve on the Tulare County Task Force, subject to approval by the Tulare County Board of Supervisors. Council Member Soto has a particular interest in that topic, and is able to attend the meetings. It is also recommended that Housing Specialist Margie Perez, who regularly attends the meetings, be nominated as alternate should Council Member Soto not able to attend. Council Member Wynn has been on the Task Force, but due to work obligations, is no longer able to attend the meetings at the current date and time. Therefore, Mayor Poochigian is recommending that she be appointed to the position. Council Member Soto currently holds on the Groundwater Sustainability Agency (GSA) She understands the importance of water to the area and the State regulations that have to be implemented. She is able to generally attend the GSA meetings.

Background Discussion:
