Department Recommendation: Staff recommends the City Council receive the CORE Team presentation.

 

Summary:

City staff serving on the City of Visalia’s CORE (City Organization Recognizing Employees) Team present on the CORE Team’s mission, structure, and a summary of CORE sponsored and coordinated events and activities.

 

Background Discussion:

The City of Visalia Council has long supported and funded the CORE Team.  The CORE is comprised of personnel from each City department and meets regularly to coordinate recognitions and activities.  The CORE Team’s purpose is to express appreciation to personnel, promote engagement, and enhance morale.

 

Fiscal Impact: The 2025-26 budget includes $28,700 for the CORE Team activities for the 700 full time and fluctuating number of part-time employees in the City organization.
