The Building Advisory Committee recommends that the Visalia City Council appoint Zishan Lokhandwala to serve on the Building Advisory Committee through June 30, 2023
Background Discussion:
There is a vacancy on the Building Advisory Committee. The Committee reviewed applications for the position and is recommending that Zishan Lokhandwala be appointed to serve on the Committee. (application attached). They felt his interest in the community and his legal background would be beneficial to the Committee’s work.
The purpose of the Building Advisory Committee/Board of Appeals is to provide a forum for discussion of permit processing, building industry concerns, contractor practices and code interpretation as well as provide an appeals process for the public. They meet quarterly.
