Department Recommendation:
Staff recommends that the City Council accept the recommendation of the Historic Preservation Advisory Committee (HPAC) and do the following:
1. Appoint Jordan Mulrooney to the Committee to complete the remaining term of former Committee member Peggy Lambert, beginning May 2, 2022, and ending June 30, 2022.
2. Appoint Jordan Mulrooney to the Committee for a first two-year term beginning July 1, 2022 and ending June 30, 2024.

Background Discussion:
The HPAC is a seven-member committee which administers the Historic Preservation Ordinance and encourages property owners and occupants to maintain the historic character of their properties and structures. The Committee meets on the second and fourth Wednesdays of every month.
The HPAC currently operates with six active members and has one vacancy due to the resignation of Peggy Lambert in March 2022. Mrs. Lambert resigned as a result of personal conflicts and had three months remaining on her first term, set to expire on June 30, 2022. The request before the City Council would appoint Mr. Mulrooney to complete the remaining two months of Mrs. Lambert's term, and appoint him to a first two-year term beginning July 1, 2022 and ending June 30, 2024.
