Department Recommendation:
Staff recommends that the City Council provide authorization to file the Notice of Completion for the Greenway Trail Phase 1 project.
Summary:
In May of 2021 construction started on the Greenway Trail Phase 1 located east of Mc Auliff St and north of Hwy 198, this project spanned from approximately Mineral King Ave to Mill Creek. The project was substantially completed in September 2022 (Partial NOC recorded in June 2023), with landscaping work pending. The landscaping work required connection to the well system that was being re-furbished as part of the adjacent East Side Regional Park (ESRP) Basin G Project. The well was put online in the Fall of 2024 and the landscaping was completed in April 2025, marking the full completion of the Greenway Trail phase 1 project.
Background Discussion:
The project's construction contract was awarded to Romanazzi General engineering in the amount of $583,523.82 in May 2021. The total construction budget following prior partial Notice of Completion (recorded June 2023) was $639,875.71.
