Department Recommendation: Staff recommends that Council receive the presentation and updates from the City of Visalia Fleet Maintenance Division.

Summary:
The City Fleet Maintenance Shop, staffed by 13 skilled employees, is responsible for the upkeep of 687 city assets, including light and heavy-duty vehicles, emergency apparatus, and specialized equipment. The team performs preventive maintenance, repairs, drop-offs, and a wide range of operational support tasks to ensure the City's fleet remains safe, reliable, and mission ready. Through efficient scheduling and skilled in-house repairs, Staff minimizes downtime, extends the life of vehicles, and supports all departments in delivering essential services to the community.

Currently, the shop maintains a total of 687 assets with a team of 13 employees, providing preventive maintenance, repairs, and other essential services. The fleet includes a wide variety of vehicles and equipment, ranging from light-duty cars and trucks to heavy-duty trucks, emergency vehicles, and specialized equipment for public works, police, fire, parks, and other departments.
