Staff recommends that City Council adopt Resolution No. 2025-36 and 2025-37 authorizing the intention and formation of Open Space District No 25-02.
Summary:
A single-family dwelling is being proposed on a vacant lot located at 3234 E. Roosevelt Avenue. The parcel is located in the Northwest Specific Plan area and is required to be annexed into the Northeast Open Space District upon development or subdivision. A building permit to construct the custom home was submitted and approved by the city in July 2024. The project will include public improvements such as curb, gutter, and sidewalk along its Roosevelt Avenue street frontage.
Background Discussion:
In 1988, City Council adopted an update to the original 1979 Northeast Area Specific Plan (NASP). The specific plan lays the groundwork for required public improvements specific to the Northeast area and the maintenance thereof.
